Becoming a member of PRCA-Montgomery
PRCA provides the public relations practitioner an opportunity to refine and polish skills and knowledge in the field of communications. Whether you're a long-time professional, just beginning your career, a student studying for a PR career or have an interest in the public relations field, there's a place for you in PRCA.

Applying for Membership
All membership applications are reviewed by both the Montgomery chapter and the state board of directors. Both groups must approve the application for membership. The Montgomery board of directors reviews applications at each of its monthly meetings.

To receive an application, either contact Belinda Bazinet, VP of Membership (See contact information below, or download a pdf APPLICATION FORM (Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)). Return your completed application to Belinda, who will present your application to the board and keep you informed of the board's action.

When your membership is accepted, you will receive a letter, a certificate suitable for framing and a package of membership materials from the state membership officer. Renewal of membership dues is required each fall and can be paid with your state conference registration.

The state board meets every other month. So, while you will be added to the local membership roster immediately upon approval from the local board, it may take eight to ten weeks from the time you submit your application before you receive your membership certificate and directory from the state board.
