Mental well-being isn’t a trend or a campaign, but it’s a commitment we make to ourselves. For public relations, marketing, and communications professionals, where the pace is fast, the demands are high and the stakes often feel personal, protecting our mental health is essential. This industry thrives on agility, creativity, and resilience. But those same qualities that help us manage campaigns, clients, crises, and culture can also lead to burnout if we don’t make room for rest and recovery. APR News

New APR virtual study course:
This is an on-demand study course that you can do at your leisure, which will walk you through each KSA to prepare you for the test. This is optional (and there is a $400 fee), but it is a very helpful resource! If you need documentation for your employer to cover the cost, we can definitely get that for you!

Upcoming Rate Change:
​To ensure long-term sustainability of the Accreditation program - with many of the fees remaining unchanged for more than 25 years - the Universal Accreditation Board is making some changes to the pricing structure for the APR process.
The following adjustments will take place effective July 1, 2026:
APR Application Fee - Current: $385; New Fee (effective July 1): $495
APR Renewal Fee - Current: $75; New Fee (effective July 1): $150
Any applications or renewals submitted before July 1 will be processed at the current, lower rate. If you're on the fence about applying for your APR this year, now is the time to do it before the rates increase!
