Kristi Gates bio
Kristi Gates has more than 15 years of experience in public relations and strategic communication in the private, nonprofit, and public sectors. She joined the Alabama Housing Finance Authority in December 2014 as Communications Manager. Prior to that, she served as the Public Information Officer for the Alabama Department of Corrections, mostly managing media relations, and before that spent seven years with the Alabama Department of Mental Health focused on overcoming the stigma associated with mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Kristi has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Auburn University Montgomery in marketing and public administration, respectively. She is a freelance writer for a local magazine and enjoys playing pool and traveling.
Amber Moore bio
Amber Moore is the assistant communications manager of the Alabama Housing Finance Authority, where she has been employed for 22 years. As part of AHFA's communications staff, Amber performs a variety of public relations and marketing tasks to promote three corporate brands via in-house publications such as newsletters and annual reports as well as websites and social media. She is a two-time Auburn University Montgomery graduate, with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and a master’s degree in liberal arts. A hobbyist photographer and native of Butler County, Amber is a proud mom to 5-year-old Cole.
