About The Event
We will welcome Johnny Williams as he talks to us about the planning, coordination, and publicity for the Kickoff Classic and Camellia Bowl games in Montgomery. Williams currently serves as the Executive Director of the Camellia Bowl, Guardian FCS Kickoff Classic, Red Tails Classic, and the Central Alabama Sports Commission. He recently retired from the University of Alabama where he served as the University’s Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Affairs. Prior to his tenure at Alabama, Mr. Williams was the Director of Athletics at Troy University for 11 years and was responsible for Troy’s successful transition from Division II to I-A and member of the Sun Belt Conference. Troy’s transition from a strong Division II program to a competitive I-A program is viewed as benchmark for other institutions attempting to replicate the competitive and financial accomplishments.
In person: PRCA members $20. Guests $30. Includes lunch.
Virtual: There is no cost to PRCA members. Guests are $10 each.
