June 2022 Monthly Meeting - Learning How to Speak in Your Agency's Voice

Griffin is a successful writer, speaker, and advocate having worked for more than two decades in the newspaper profession chasing the perfectly crafted sports story. After burning out and contemplating life as an ex-patriot amongst the wilds and Wisconers in the Country of South Florida, he was pressed into service for the State of Alabama and tasked with building the marketing program for the Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors. With that complete, he sought another challenge and was hired to be the public information officer for the City of Tallassee where three days in he realized he’d made a terrible decision with his life. #googleTallasseegovernment

But he persevered. In the end, the opportunity arose to work for and be a part of an organization that is truly amazing and is focused on improving the lives of people in their darkest time. As Public Affairs Coordinator of the Family Sunshine Center, the goal is to further promote the mission and bring forth conversations about domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, and at the same time develop potential funding and donation opportunities.

When Griffin is not at work, he’s father to four furbabies: BoyCat, Fredreck von Floofenstein III, Moose, and Janie; a conissour of grilled meats and podcasts and fan of rye whisky and iced coffee … not together. He’s married to Casie and resides in Tallassee.
