About The Event
Morgan Drinkard serves as a lecturer in the Hall School of Journalism and Communication at Troy University where she primarily teaches public relations and advertising courses. Drinkard went back to the classroom full-time in 2014 to fulfill a passion of hers to encourage, equip and engage collegiate students with best practices for the public relations and communication community.
Prior to teaching, Drinkard served as the Executive Director of the Johnson Center for the Arts in Troy, Alabama. She earned a Master of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism with a contract in Public Relations and a minor in Leadership Studies from Troy University.
Drinkard enjoys serving her community as the co-chair and publicity chair of the TroyFest Art & Craft Festival, the publicity chair of First Baptist Church of Troy, and working in various roles with other-non profit organizations. Drinkard also enjoys doing freelance consulting, design and event coordination. She and her husband reside in Troy with their two children, five-year-old Emory and three-year-old William.
