About The Event
Roberts supervises the athletic event management and special event offices and coordinates all aspects of football home game operations. He assists with a variety of operational aspects of the athletics department including game day experience, football game scheduling, football team travel, bowl travel and NCAA Men’s Basketball travel. He also oversees coordination of large scale special events on the athletics campus, including road races, concerts and state football championship games. Roberts also serves as a department contact for the tailgate services and food concessions providers.
Roberts began his athletics career as an assistant director of marketing at Auburn from 1999-2002. He then was promoted to the director of team and event marketing in 2002. In 2006, he became the director of operational support services and was then promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Operations in 2011, where he served for three years until his most recent move to Associate Athletics Director in 2014. He has also previously served as sport administrator of the baseball and men’s and women’s tennis programs. Roberts has been a part of the Auburn Athletics Department since 1993 when he started as a student athletics trainer for football.
