November 2023 PRCA-MGM Monthly Meeting

Our November speaker is Kalonji Gilchrist. Kalonji is the Founder & Executive Director of 21 Dreams Arts & Culture, a nonprofit membership organization committed to advancing creative and cultural arts in Montgomery, Alabama. His commitment to creative placemaking and arts cultivation was born out of a personal interest in community arts. As a Montgomery native and mission-driven community influencer, his focus centers on building strategic partnerships to leverage local talent, resources, and communities to amplify the power of the arts.

In addition to guiding the creative vision for 21 Dreams, he is also the owner of KHARI Creative, LLC, a boutique film company offering video production services for audience development, public engagement, original content, and cinema-ready documentaries. The film's ability to tell stories is rooted in a community-centered principle, giving voice and visualization to authentic experiences, historical events, and emerging narratives. Additionally, Kalonji curates social change initiatives through art and media exhibitions and gives back through his service on several community boards and committees.
